Being a wedding photographer is amazing you get to hang out with cool people and capture some of the most special moments that that they'll ever have with each other. Doing all of this whilst using cameras to carefully produce a finished piece of art that documents the day, knowing that every time that couple sees it they'll be reminded of the awesome party they had to celebrate being together, that my friends is an awesome feeling to have.
It's not as easy as picking up an expensive camera and off you go . I spent years in college and uni and countless thousands of hours shooting learning and developing myself, and this is what makes a photographer I feel. There's something deep within a photographer that just has to take images. I always try and carry a camera with me and my friends and family are so used to me having one that it allows me to shoot everything completely naturally.
So because I really want to make an effort with the blog I decided that I would share my life and what I do friends family other projects with you all. After all if you're getting married and you hire someone as a photographer you want to click with them and (as I aim to do) you should feel like your friend is there with you on the day. I did think about putting more posts up like this but I was unsure at first. Then I thought caution to the wind I'm just going to be me.
So what have I been up too, well the latest week has I've been catching up with Ally and Tom (sister in law and her husband) , they live in Australia and brought over there little Poppy. She's adorable. We had so much fun going for walks and playing games.
There were so many cool people at the Indie wedding fair, it's hard to get it all in here today but I will add a few links to people for you guys to check out. I will have a full write up in the next post but it was literally the best wedding fayre me and Becky have ever been to. That is down to the expertise of Ellie and how she chose very specifically who to invite and also thought very carefully about what type of suppliers to invite. I'll go into it more in depth in that future post.
I would be so lost without Becky helping me, we are a team. So I stayed over in Manchester for the styled shoot the next day and Becky, ( like the true hero she is) drove back to Wales to attend another wedding fayre on the Sunday. Fayre's are great, but also really exhausting. Carrying all of our kit in and out and setting up really does tire you out. By the time I got home in the early hours Becky told me we took a booking from that Wales fayre that day and I'm really really excited about it it's really special.
All of these in such a short space of time and now we have literally a few days before we go to Cwtch Fest.
Keep your eyes peeled for the next post with more images from the Indie Wedding Fair. There are a few links below to check out, some of our new friends that we made up in Manchester. Also remember we take bookings all over the UK and Manchester, Cheshire, Liverpool and Wirral is even easier as we have family on the Wirral for us to stay with.
See you soon
Chris :) x
