As it’s the New Year I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone and I’m running a little offer to help those of you planning a wedding that have not yet booked your wedding photographer or videographer.
Winter weddings are becoming more and more popular! Aside from Christmas, New Year and the odd birthday there isn’t a lot going on in Winter, there are lots of places that offer special prices because Winter isn’t the ‘typical’ wedding season
The colours in Autumn get me going! If you love Halloween, orange, yellow and red or enjoy crisp cold days and blue skies then Autumn could be a good time for you to set a date. You could go all out theme wedding, or just make the most of the beautiful colours nature offers.
Hello! If you’re reading this, chances are you’re having a summer wedding. If yes then you’re in the right place, summer weddings are fun, popular and give you the highest chance of nice weather (fingers crossed for you - rain doesn’t scare me though I shoot through all weathers - including my own wedding!). I photographed some absolute corkers in Summer 2018.
It’s been a crazy year full of awesome weddings. Since we’re heading towards the close I have got Becky to give me a hand putting a few little blog posts together. I thought it would be good to pick a few photo’s that might help you guys get some ideas and inspiration for your wedding planning. Most of them are south wales weddings but I do travel everywhere including overseas.
It’s a crisp December day and Christina and Richard have their family and friends gathered to celebrate their wedding day. This is my first time at Oldwalls and it doesn’t disappoint, the happy couple are keen to make some amazing images and I’m psyched to catch them in this stunning location. I love winter weddings, they’re so different to summer but always seem more about family and friends there’s party spirit in the air - I live for that! They seem to get more and more popular year on year.
It’s a first for us at Court Colman today - Yan and Dean have chosen this beautiful venue to celebrate their special day and it doesn’t disappoint. This morning has been awesome, busy, fun and buzzing - the atmosphere is amazing. Family and friends have come from miles around to share Yan and Dean’s wedding and everyone is having fun. That’s why I love my job so much - people make the moments!
Whilst everyone tucks into their delicious meals, I’m doing the usual back up and sharing some of the moments I’ve captured so far. I’ve also thrown in a few from their engagement shoot at Tredegar House - they were so enthusiastic and happy despite the drizzle that day! I can’t wait to see what the rest of the evening will hold!
I’m back at the stunning Canada Lake and Lodge today to watch the lovely Carys and Dave tie the knot. It’s amazing being part of such an important day (or the biggest day) in most people’s lives and I love being in the thick of it! Capturing real emotion and happy memories. It’s always a bonus when couples choose venues surrounded by so much natural beauty. A small part of the day I love to make photos with the couple and it won’t be long until I set off with Dave and Carys to do just that.
It’s been a tremendous morning - Carys and Dave have a lovely bunch of family and friends. Another reason I love what I do - I’m a people person, so getting to know new people and feeling like an addition to the family is what I aim for! There is so much love here today it’s awesome and I can’t wait to see what will get started tonight!!
I’m stoked to be photographing Tammy and James’ wedding today at the amazing Fairy Hill. They have put so much time and effort into thinking of every detail for their Big day and even their lovely fur baby Milly is involved along with the rest of there not so hairy family members and friends. : )
I’d heard so much about this gorgeous venue I was excited to get here and capture beautiful moments for this happy couple in a stunning location. They’re very natural as you can see from the images of their E-shoot in the Gower. I love being able to create images that tell a story and show the strong bonds that people share - it really is awesome!
I’m just sat backing up images I’ve taken so far (standard protocol for me) and having a breather whilst I eat some delicious food. The speeches and party are up next it’s always one of my favourite parts of the day! Take a look at some of the photographs of the day so far and watch this space for more to come.
A first for me today at Porthkerry Country Park, despite the soggy weather I’m stoked to be at this picturesque venue and to celebrate Tom and Harriet getting hitched. I love my job whatever the weather who says rain can’t be fun?! These guys have gathered a great crowd together today - a host of family and friends for lots of fun and good times. It’s been amazing so far and I can’t wait to share more with you!
I had a great time catching up with Harriet and Tom before today on their E shoot around Porthkerry Country Park and the beaches surrounding Barry.
Here’s a few images from that awesome E shoot (and from today) something I offer with all my packages. It’s a good chance for us to hang out and get some rad photographs of you in awesome locations, pulling faces and being your best selves!
Next up is the party - I can’t wait to get shots of this crowd busting some shapes on the dance floor and have an all round incredible time!
We’ve been spoiled for weather this year and although it’s been a little bit rainy in true Welsh fashion I am here today at one of the best south wales wedding venues, Canada Lake and Lodge. I’m having a wicked time with everyone involved and it just makes me feel super grateful to be a wedding photographer. I get to hang out with couples as they tie the knot and capture all that awesome joy as friends and family celebrate.
